It is amazing where some ideas can come from, a few years ago I found a small cement garden ornament in my Mother's garden. It measured 300 mm high x 120 mm wide x 30 mm thick. The image on grey cement depicted a beautiful lady of some class, in profile. This was just the sort of thing that I would like to carve. The image was sketched out onto a solid piece of Red Cedar with the finished dimensions of 660 mm high x 315 mm wide x 45 mm thick. Some years later, quite by accident, it was discovered that the garden plaque was based on a painting by Alphonse Mucha called 'Primrose'.
